Boys to Men Breakfast Empowerment Retreat

Jackson, Mississippi – Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Epsilon Lambda Chapter, Educational Activities Committee present the Boys to Men Breakfast Empowerment Retreat, the first of four quarterly events.

This retreat offers young males, 9 to 18 years of age, the opportunity to take part in interactive, educational workshops presented by community leaders from various professions and academic disciplines. The purpose of the Boys to Men Breakfast Empowerment Retreat is to provide resources for personal and professional growth, challenge young males to raise their expectations, promote responsible and respectable characteristics and encourage a post-high school education, so they may achieve their goals and have a positive impact on their lives and the lives of others in their communities.

The presenters will share a variety of academic and professional experiences during concurrent sessions which include: college and career readiness, drug and alcohol education, responsible character building, social justice, recreational activities, and more. In addition, Hope Credit Union will provide Financial Literacy education.

The first session will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022 at New Horizon Church International, 1770 Ellis Avenue, Jackson, MS from 8:00am to 1:30pm. .
